Kearny Clinic Groundbreaking

The Future Kearny Clinic
The Future Kearny Clinic

A project decades in the making has finally started construction after a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, October 30th. The Kearny Clinic is being rebuilt by Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center to provide a higher level of care with a greater variety of services. The upgraded facility will provide beds for overnight stays, emergency response and urgent care capabilities, and access to doctors with specialty training. The facility aims to be flexible in providing the services needed most in Kearny and surrounding areas.

For many years, it has been a concession that living in Kearny did not equate to easily accessed emergency and long-term health care services. This is about to change with the commitment made by Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center to provide the most needed medical services to our community. No longer will it be a requirement to travel to another municipality to receive top of the line medical care.

Within a year, we hope to welcome more providers into the new facility at 100 Tilbury Drive. Kearny residents will be able to rest easy knowing that our community has the resources to respond to even the worst of medical emergencies and to supply health services to those of us with chronic conditions.
